!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Considering what the last pristine Si just went for:

Whats KBB on something like this? $8k? I’d say that 8 grand worth of car.

I donated mine to the kidney foundation. It was an 00 with like 20k on it, and had kissed a guardrail whilst sliding sideways, damaging the bumper, upper and lower rad supports, etc. No airbag deployment. It sold on Copart for like 7 grand.

neat, pics of the keys are included, that’ll make theft easier!

![]() 04/16/2018 at 15:31 |

it was already stolen, just the time for you to think about it was more than enough time for a civic to be stolen
![]() 04/16/2018 at 15:31 |

16k is my guess.
Range between 15K and 18k
![]() 04/16/2018 at 15:36 |

why does a 99 civic with only 12k on the clock exist?
i mean.. i dont mind as such... but come on... its a 90s civic... if ever a car was made to get abused and neglected all the way up to 300k miles and keep on trucking... it a 90s civic
![]() 04/16/2018 at 15:37 |

Thats going to be a no for me.
![]() 04/16/2018 at 15:43 |

How do these things get so overpriced? You could go out and buy a nearly new civic EX that is a much nicer car for the same money.
![]() 04/16/2018 at 15:45 |

Original tires. That’s not scary at all. Nope. Uh uh. I’m sure they’re just ffffiiiiiiiiiiinnneee.
![]() 04/16/2018 at 15:57 |
|
“Are you going to put tires on it?”
“No! Then it wouldn’t be original. Do you even know what you’re talking about?!?”
“Do you?”
![]() 04/16/2018 at 16:19 |

$18k.
What bugs me, though, is that this car was with the original owner for almost 20 years, and then the next guy flips it after 3 months, presumably because he has $$ signs in his eyes after that $22,750 hammer price?
![]() 04/17/2018 at 05:09 |

$31,500
![]() 04/17/2018 at 09:59 |

Its at $8100 as of this morning already :D
![]() 04/17/2018 at 10:01 |

im gonna say 24, these things will never break the 30 barrier, they arent integra type Rs lol
![]() 04/17/2018 at 10:01 |

KBB is pretty irrelevant for most any car this old, IMHO, especially one like this.
Original tires is just dumb - first thing I’d do is swap them out, maybe keep them around if you think this car is an ‘investment’ (spoiler alert - it’s not).
Nice car!

it’s a fucking manual so that’s immediate CP

Sonic Blue pearl though
Edit: nope it’s electron blue, GTFOH

KBB is about as useful as a knuckle sammich

If you watch Jay Leno’s Garage, they did one of the Knight Rider cars. During the drive, Jay asked the owner if these were the original tires (again, this show from the Goddamn 80's, right?!). “Yeah, but they’re in pretty good shape!” The apprehension is Jay’s voice was apparent.

so the red similar one was ~$20k? I think this will go higher. If I were looking for an Si to collect, I’d for sure be looking for the Si only colour EBP.
and the current (as of this typing) bid of $8100 is what I got for my Si powered hatch with 100,000 miles, so we have a WAYS to go
![]() 04/17/2018 at 10:18 |

I mean $6k seems a lot accurate than $22k IMHO.

The same as any classic - someone wanted one when they were young, couldn’t afford it and now they have money. So they feel an emotional attachment to the thing they wanted to have, but couldn’t afford, and overpay to achieve it.

I don’t even understand what you just said there...

No big deal, just find some new old stock!

My dad had this exact same car—1999 electron blue. He bought it new when I was in middle school, and it was the fastest thing I’d ever been in at the time. Helluva car. I swear you could feel it when the VTEC kicked in, yo.
My dad drove it like a maniac, and we could outpace V6 Camaros and Mustangs and hang with the V8's.
![]() 04/18/2018 at 11:30 |

lets not forget that the hot rod association of America (and countless DMVs) would consider that Honda a classic in 6 years.
![]() 04/18/2018 at 11:43 |

This that blue that everyone wants, so it may very well fetch 30k
![]() 04/18/2018 at 12:29 |

Good Lord. It’s just a blue 90's Civic for crying out loud.
![]() 04/19/2018 at 17:06 |

I see it going for at least $24,000.
I’m not saying that’s a good price, or a fair price. It’s batshit crazy, but I can definitely see it happening.
![]() 04/19/2018 at 17:18 |
|
My dad drove it like a maniac...
...and hang with the V8's.
No, no you couldn’t. More like you outpaced poorly driven
V6 Camaros, hung with the well driven V6s, and got your doors blown off
by any V8 only to do a flyby 10 seconds after the race was already over. Congratulations, your dad was a ricer, and it sounds like he infected you to.

Currently $16k for a Civic Si with 12k miles or $12k for a S2000k with 51k miles. I dont understand.
![]() 04/23/2018 at 14:00 |
|
$19,500
Are millionaires doing a ‘rat race’ thing with worthless cars now?
![]() 04/23/2018 at 14:14 |
|
Someone just bid up to $18k so... yes?
![]() 04/23/2018 at 14:44 |

I really don’t understand it, it’s not like it was a poster car of it’s day.
![]() 04/23/2018 at 15:15 |

Surpassed the other already.

The original Fast and Furious movie called. Said to remember them.
Along with all the import magazines of that era.

Alot of hate in regards to what other people do with their money.
I bought the red example that sold for $16K late last year. It’s worth every penny to me and you can’t convince me otherwise.
![]() 04/23/2018 at 15:49 |
|
Fair point, but $24k worth? Remember all the other cars in fast and furious for that kind of money? FD rx7, supra, skyline, to just name the obvious in that price range.
![]() 04/23/2018 at 15:56 |
|
You don’t have to understand it my friend. Everyone’s different.
![]() 04/23/2018 at 16:00 |

You don’t have to understand. Not everyone wants S2000s, obviously.
![]() 04/23/2018 at 16:04 |

Hope you’re really enjoying that Civic.
![]() 04/28/2018 at 14:11 |

Hmmm... “sold” for $24K... but just watch this car get relisted because the “winning bidder” walked away.
![]() 04/28/2018 at 14:12 |
|
But a knuckle sammich CAN be useful sometimes..
![]() 04/28/2018 at 14:16 |

Old tires are fine... just don’t expect luxuries like good traction. If you drive like you’re riding on baldinis, you’ll be fine.
![]() 04/28/2018 at 14:17 |

How did it get so overpriced? People with more money than brains.
![]() 04/28/2018 at 14:19 |

Well if he didn’t drive it that way, then he’d be an idiot.

It’s VERY difficult to relist vehicles on Bring a Trailer (BaT).
However, when a deal falls through, BaT will go out of their way to help the seller get into contact with the next highest bidder.
