Yesterday’s high was 28F with light sleet / freezing rain all day on and off. Today is a high of 36, with 20-30mph ENE winds. But, true to the maxim of, “there’s no such thing as bad weather,” at least yesterday was good for burning brush.
this was twice as big about 10 minutes earlier
But come on, April, seriously. It’s not me, it’s you. It seems like ever since you got a taste of this white stuff, you haven’t been the same. Cold. Unforgiving. Icy, even. Maybe you should go back to hanging out with March, and I’ll go ahead and hook back up with May; I always liked May better anyway. I think it’s for the best.

April sounds like a stone cold bitch, May sounds pretty hot. But your should go for whoever has better sense, imo

this is a bunch of BS
Saturday was near 60, sunday was mid 30's and snowing. At this points it is metal abuse from mother nature. If she keeps this up i’m gunna go get a bro-mobile and start rolling coal in protest.

I think our rain season has very much began.... A month early.
We’re looking at a 10° C low which is unheardof here at this time of year

That’s the exact term I used to describe the weather yesterday. Cannon was projecting 5-8" overnight, and while we really wanted a nice warm spring skiing day, we figured a semi-powder day would be OK too. But then they got freezing rain overnight, and couldn’t even open some of their chairs due to icing.
I said, this weather is BS.
My kids’ school was cancelled today. I think in part because the DOT / Town DPW is totally phoning it in at this point. They came by yesterday and didn’t plow or sand, lol. Fine by me, I can go do donuts in my cul-de-sac in as soon as I scrape 1/4" of ice off my car. But I’m sure the back roads are horrible, and buses aren’t known for their slippery-road prowess.

My birthday is in May. I always get the boat in the water in May. Mountain biking starts for real in May. My work gets waaay less busy toward the end of May.
Goodbye April.

May’s low is still warm, while April’s lowest is cold.

I especially feel bad for the marathoners today... my father ran it about 10 years ago and it was 86. Not sure which is worse...

i’d much rather run in the cold than hot. There isn;t much you can do to fight the heat.
I’m listen to WAAF and they have been talking about the shitty weather all day.

It’s true about the cold; a very serious runner I know says 45 is the ideal temp for her. BUT. Rain + headwind changes the equation a bit. And I heard it was 36 at the start of the race.
But you may be right, it’s still better than 86.
