I am doing a seminar for wineries in Temcula Thursday. Should I drive or fly? The long route is very scenic through the desert, an amazing drive that I last did in my RX-8 a little over 10 years ago.
Flying is probably the best choice, and driving the Infiniti is the next most rational choice.
A part of me wants to take the ‘Chaser, and that same part wants to take Toby. What would you do?

Toby-Chaser because we all need some fun alone adventure time with our furry friends to clear our heads once and awhile!

Five hour drive with good weather and scenery? I’d drive, maybe the Sunchaser, but probably skip the dog. (Nothing against Toby, just my boys don’t really care for car rides and that is a long one.)

Are you into photography at all? Those of us who have never been to California would love a writeup. The Sunchaser in the desert sun...
drive!

5 hrs drive in sunny weather and the route is scenic?!
I would take my Mini.
You also have the Sunchaser for added convertibleness.

If the Chaser breaks down it will be invisible. After all, it’s a similar color as the desert. People will think they’ve seen a mirage (no not a Mitsubishi). But seriously, as long as it isn’t too hot, take the Chaser. Take some good photographs and report back.

Drive. Rather not have to deal with airport bs.

You fool! Your mind is obviously still cloudy from the sickness. Drive with the doggo.

I’d drive, no question about it.
As to which vehicle, your call. Either would do very nicely I’d think.

The mapping software shows you can walk it in 5 days - it’s Sunday night, so if you leave now and walk fast you should be OK. Take Toby, he deserves a good walk.

For that distance, I hate flying. I work in STL and we have a bunch of people in the office that will fly to KC or Chicago and it drives me nuts. Once you count in security and bag check I can beat them to the destination and then have my car filled with whatever tools and shit I needed to bring.

Why fly anywhere when you can drive; that’s my motto. No TSA nonsense to deal with, you can listen to the music at your leisure; see the sights and enjoy the drive. Wife thinks I am nuts because I’d much rather drive anywhere than deal with the flying bus station but she never ends up sitting next to the gloriously obnoxious person who wants to talk the entire flight

Rent a convertible mustang. Open top motoring in a modern car that will be easy to pass the miles in.
