Got a screw in my tire, so I went to plug it. (Yes, it’s about bald anyway. I just wanted to make it to my next paycheck.)
When I finished, it was taking a while to fill up, so I turned off the pump and.... it started hissing. Apparently, I stabbed the sidewall.

That sucks. What size tires? I’m about to get new tires and 2 of mine are fairly decent for some reason while the other two need replacing soon. I always get 4 at a time. If they’re the right size I could get them to hang on to the two good ones and you can have them.

They’re 195/65R15. I went ahead and bought a couple used ones for $40 after this, though, but thanks regardless!

Ah. Mine are for 16s so wouldn’t work anyway. Glad you were able to get a cheap fix though

For sure. They’re not the best used tires I’ve gotten, though. Since you’re in the area, I’ll go ahead and warn you to avoid using JB’s Tire and Auto on Jimmy Carter. They were quick and friendly, but these tires they gave me have maybe 5,000 miles left, assuming I keep them in the back. My usual place (somewhere in Lawrenceville. The name escapes me right now, though) didn’t have my size, but they only charge $30 per tire and those usually have about 20-30k left in the treads.
I suppose it’s nice that I got Continentals, anyway, instead of some weird store brand.

Plugging an almost bald tire adds like 1000 miles to the life of said tire. That’s fact!.
