Up and coming channel that’s really blown up in the last 8 months or so. Other guys in the channel are fine. Some of their videos are very informative.

I’m torn, he’s annoying as fuck, but when he did the MR2 video and it got posted 50 thousand times on the MR2OC facebook page I got tired of seeing it real quick.

but it was accurate and without the same tired tropes that most videos on the MR2 tread. (e.g omglolsnapoversteer #mostdangerouscarever)

He’s ok but for some stories he skips a lot of details in the sake of time, and his pronunciation is off which drives me mad.

As a presenter I like the guy from FI better.

Pumphrey’s alright in my book. Yeah he overdoes it a little, but I still enjoy the Donut videos a lot. Derek D had a tendency to overdo it too, at least when Fast Lane Daily was still a thing. I miss that show.

Vehicle Virgins and Car throttle, on the other hand... I just can’t get into their presentation style. They’re slightly more tolerable than Scotty Kilmer.

I have to say though. Just quietly. I like Tav and the Lambo thing is a goldmine. But something about those vids does irk me a little

Some videos are informative no doubt. I guess the Over the Top presentation mostly works in this day and age for a younger demographic because their channel is blowing up.

The anecdotes (clearly does his homework) and playful narrative (it flows, not a textbook) work for me. I am not sure what the target demographic is, but it is likely younger than me.

I find most automotive video content to be overly long, full of flowery often useless narrative or chalk full of music instead of car noises. It’s hard to trust that people are not just reiterating what they heard/read elsewhere even if it may be false. Truth be told the content I enjoy most is the writing of Chris Harris, Jack Baruth, Sam Smith, Matt Farah and the like.
