I am always trying to think of a plan to start a new car company. I need low start up costs and a good market.
1. Start making replica sedans and power them with LS e-rod engines.
2. Make replica neighborhood electric vehicles (NEV) that are replicas of classic kei and micro cars.
3. Replica mini trucks because their are no small cars for sale in the U.S. and the chicken tax would help protect my market.
4. Starting with motorcycles like Honda did. I will start using someone elses engines like Janus does, but something atleast 500cc.
A lot of this relies on that replica law that the government will probably never finish, so it will probably be motorcycles.

Or just make random posts about it with good pictures. What’s the little red sedan up top?

Kit cars man. Buildthe chassis, and the body. Sell them separately with a simple harness and a few interior options, use a modern/modular powertrain in all the cars maybe with different tunes for different applications.

Definitely don’t make the tub and mounts perfectly designed for the retro electric kit car life.

If you build replicas or kit cars in the U.S. they do not need to be crash tested because they are a 25+ year old design. If you build the complete car you do need to meet emissions though.
