pretty nice... I’ve been thinking about building some sort of winter tire storage rack. This version takes up too much horizontal space. I need to go vertical. Too many yard tools taking up floor space.

So you’re just going to stack them on a piece of plywood then?

Where do you even put a spare wheel on a Polaris Slingshot?

So far I had them on the floor... but Yeah. maybe piece of plywood would work better.
eitherway, i need someway of making more room in the garage

Hide it in your AAA Platinum card, along with your shame of owning a Slingshot.

Judging by my experience everyone aboard is carrying at least one spare tire.

You want a hanging rack then

interesting. how is that built? How do you get tires off one at a time? Or do they just crash on your head?

Hell yeah. Wall mounts FTW

It’s just 2x4 ‘s screwed together with supports up to the roof joists. You just need to keep the measument (A) bigger than the diameter of the tire (B) and they will come in and out one at a time. It’s not a shelf in that there is no bottom. The tires just sit against the front 2x4 and the wall which you can see in my picture but not so much my drawing.

I’ve already used up my first set of RE71r’s for the year...

Nice, I like the chains better but I had a lot of free, twisted, 2x4's and a bucket of screws. All in all I probably have less than $1 in the rack

I am going to steal this design. Use it myself. Then sell it to China.

Hmm. I think i like this design moderately better. Dang it... Why doesn’t amazon have anything for under 20 bucks for this

Yeah, I went the chain route because I decided I just needed to be cheaper than the Harbor Freight racks.

I can’t decide between them and the new Direzza III’s...

For autox, the RE71's are still faster but at the track they will wear out quickly and are less heat tolerant than the ZIII. Neither make good street tires.

just use the same tyres all year round
