I think the current BMW X series are some of the best looking cars on the market and definitely the best looking crossovers, specifically the odd numbered ones. I like that they are essentially oversized BMW hatchbacks but don’t look overly butch or sporty, just clean and handsomely proportioned. I even like the current X5M.

Kinja'd!!!

Except for M cars, I’d rather have an X1, X3 or X5 than any other current BMW.

Kinja'd!!!

The only thing I miss is the raised wagon awesomeness that was the original X1.

I’d like an X5M with an exhaust that sounds like this:

But if I can have any new BMW it’s the M750Li.

Well, the X1 and X3 are currently a generation ahead of the 1-series and 3-series. The X3 may well drive better than the sedan. For the X5, I haven’t really liked the 5-series in a while so I’m indifferent. X1 vs 1-series, though... 1-series all the way. Too bad the US doesn’t get it.

Didn’t X3 also moved to FWD UKL?

Nope, they also might do an X3M this generation too.

They had a good run going until the new X3 came out. I really dig the current X1 in silver.

I can’t stand the X1, but thats because I see it as a FWD profile.

The new X3 is neat, and apparently they are starting to come back to their senses and offering vehicles that are truly enjoyable to drive.

I’ve always loved the X5 too, but those days are numbered. This vulgar mess is coming:

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

And they’ve taken the tail lights straight to Hyundai Santa Fe

Yeah, the X1 is better looking than it really has any right to be lol. Unlike its competitors, it doesn’t obviously look like the cheapest one.

Yeah, supposedly there’s going to be an X3M this generation too. They seem pretty confident with it .

Unlikely :(

And I can only imagine that the X7 will be worse.

“Heresy”

Agreed. I’m not a fan of the current BMW lineup to begin with, but if I had to choose I’d most certainly not pick one of those crossovers. Ugh.

I wish they still made a version of the original X1, especially since everybody else is doing the raised wagon thing now
