The article is in French. Basically it tells that Schaeffler made a clutch for EVs and Hybrids, that can regen and still be capable of dealing with auto parking.
Production will start in the next months.

Yeah, that’s interesting.
EVs don’t lose a lot of efficiency to spinning the motors at high speed, so adding a transmission can be a balancing act. It would help with performance though, as the torque drops quickly at higher speeds. It would add additional oomph near and above the speedlimit, so maybe more for a racing application.

Very interesting. Wonder if this is just a proof of concept, or if there’s really demand for something like this in Europe and other markets?
