YOU CAN’T WASH YOUR CAR HERE IT IS TOO DIRTY!

... wut?

Nah but I kinda get it. I’ve been to a car wash after a muddy truck and it is... bad. Big chunks of mud/ dirt and the brush thingy is just... ruined. That said, they’re running a car wash so...

He was nice about it, he was the owner of the place too. I don’t even use the brush and I usually blow all the mud away before I leave.

So I was just like “oh, ok I’ll go fuck up the other car wash down the street instead.”

While I empathize with your muddy truck, I hate mud in the washbay. Also, some asshole hosed out a trailer that had rusty nails in it and one went into my tire.

I always blast the bay out when I’m washing mud off my truck.

Yeah, I hate that kind of person as well. And people who do like sheetrock work and blast a bunch of rocks and gravel into the bays.

That’s really frustrating, but also a legendary accomplishment. TFW your lifestyle is too car guy for the car wash.

to be fair, it’s not called a Truck wash..

but most car washes have the same policy. Back in the early 90s my brother would go mudding with his friend, they would wash the truck at our house with a pressure washer, then go to a car wash. then his friend would bring his dad’s truck back.....

The nice ones do at least.

Either way, at the shitty one I ended up going to I blasted most of the mud out of the bay before I was done.

I jsut assumed, since there was no sr20, that this story was a lie, or that the vehicle was caked in chicken parm

At the clay circle track racers will wash their truck and racecar after the race at the local self wash car wash.

There was a lot more chicken parm than that picture would show. Like it was caked on to every posible surface.

I’ve had to take my little Focus to the DIY wash before going to a drive through, in order to get Michigan mud off my car. It’s not within the same realm as mudding in a truck, but a drive through was isn’t able to get off the caked on mud after I’ve driven on especially bad S.E. Michigan unpaved county roads. Just another joy of being a real estate appraiser.

Every car wash near me has a sign warning against overly muddy vehicles. I’ve brought in some pretty muddy stuff before but never actually had them turn away, so I’m impressed. Got any pictures of the mud in question?

(I have had more than a couple question whether I was *sure* taking the Alfa through their power wash was a good idea, but again, they’ve never turned me away)

Young me says “What, you expect me to wash all this mud off of my jeep, this is merica!”

Old me says “After having both sides of my car looked like someone went from tip to tail with brillo from a muddy car wash, good! You are the reason i am paranoid and get frostbite washing my cars by hand all winter”

Nevermind, just saw lower in the threads it was a DIY bay not a drive through. That is stupid then.
