Again, I tried to leave it as long as possible so I actually had some dirt to clean off. Got bored of waiting so went and cleaned what was there.
Pressure rinse on the lower end, wheel cleaner, rinse, snow foam shampoo’d wiped and rinsed, dried with Gyeon Cure and a towel.
Clean in and outside the windows and dressed the tyres.
Casually done in my own time and it still only took 40 minutes. :(

I’ve definitely said this before but I’m going to say it again: that color!!

You’re welcome to come do mine. It uhh... needs...

I am surprised the truck didn’t light on fire when the rear wiper was used. You know, considering Land Rover and all.

I think we’ll stay with this colour for the next one but if Dragon Green Metallic becomes an option for the spec, I’m going for it.

This is the prettiest blue in regular car production right now

I have only owned grayscale cars (welcome to the USA used market). Super jealous!

Ooooooh, I could happily spend six hours on her.
Man, I’m sure jealous of you.
Just looking at that picture my mind is planning the angle of attach and procedure.

Haha that is excellent. Always cool to see people who enjoy being really fastidious at something. I am a chronic half-asser/ good-enough-er on all tasks...
That said, on a job like this would you remove the licence plate and spare wheel, or try to clean in place?

Thanks. I still can’t believe it was a lucky accident.

If I can, I’ll go for this next.

That is a delightful color. The closest thing we can get to that in the States is on the Chevrolet Spark.

I’d take the spare wheel off.
I’d leave the licence plates in place unless they can be removed and replaced easily enough.
Spare wheel off, pressure rinse wheels and wheel arches, spray degreaser and large scrubbing brush around the wheel wells, degreaser and stiff nylon brush on tyre walls, and rinse, wheel cleaner on wheels, assorted brushes to agitate, rinse, fallout remover on wheels, agitate and rinse wash again with car shampoo and rinse.
About half an hour per wheel.

Wild! That is a lambo worthy color, but way cooler on a sedan without the pretensions of a supercar.

I don’t know why I smile when you post Piglet pics. It should be an unremarkable car, but it looks so pretty in that color.

I see you got a good day for it.

I wouldn’t, it’ll reduce the trade in value.

Ye’, she’s a great car, not remarkable, doesn’t do anything great but does everything really well.

Ye’, not too sunny or too warm. Just perfect.
![]() 04/05/2018 at 12:45 |

I’d buy one.

It’s a fantastic colour but only available on the Sportline. Skoda gave me a fantastic price on Piglet, so should get a good price on her replacement next March, so any depreciation wouldn’t hit me personally too hard.

I’d do it all over again, but not sure whether to stay Superb liftback or go estate, to go off roader with the Skoda Kodiaq or to VW with the Arteon.

I’d day lift back. I like those rear lines.

Piglet washed?

Looks like you were a good omen mate.
I was asked this morning to go north of the border and clean a dark green Discovery II sometime next month. It’s used for towing a horse trailer and apparently quite dirty inside and out.
I’ve told her six hours-ish.
I’m glad I had in mind what to do while thinking of yours yesterday.

Haha that is excellent. If you haven’t done one before, the running boards can be a real pain to get clean (if it has them). They don’t shed water very well and something about them really traps dirt in the seam above, so even after you think you have them cleaned, muddy water will flow onto them when you rinse and you get to scream profanities.

It’s been a while since I’ve Disco’d.
I’ve an abundance of tools and cleaners to get into anything.
I usually spray, agitate, pressure rinse and if water and dirt can’t be drained I wet vacuum it out. Seriously, a wet vacuum is worth it’s weight in gold for cleaning interiors and drying nooks and crannies such as wheel nuts, wing mirrors, etc...
