Part of me really hopes we see these Stateside as a truer successor to the R51 Pathfinder. Or even an Xterra replacement, but rumor is that The Next Frontier and a possible corresponding Xterra will be unique (but I’m expecting they’ll be new in the same way the Ranger and
Everest
Bronco will be). I have yet to determine if they’re leaf-sprung or coil-sprung in the rear (the NP300 it’s based on has both options). But they debut in just over a week in Beijing, so I’ll settle for waiting to find out.
Still can’t stand those directional wheels though.

I anticipate that the navara/Terra will be mechanically identical to the frontier/Xterra if not in style as well

That hasn’t been a problem since 2009. However, the new Titans are having issues with exhausts rusting out almost immediately...

Also, I’d rather the truck die of a contaminated slushbox than to have a CVT...

Yeah, I have a 2005 Pathfinder. Was really disappointed to see the replacement.

Judging by the teaser photo Ford released of the new Bronco showing a very square profile, the new Bronco is not going to simply be the Everest or just an SUV version of the new Ranger. Even if it’s on the same platform its going to be very different visually.
