This, as we all know, is a Mk3 Capri.
It was, as we all know, usually sold with the Pinto engine in 1.6 or 2.0 versions. The mean could get the 1.3l Kent unit. Occasionally it was fitted with either the Essex or the Cologne V6s, according to market. So, which have we here? Let’s investigate.
That’s intriguing. I very much doubt that it left the factory with one of those.

RWD will do that for you. That, and moving the battery to the back. Plus of course the V8 isn’t much longer than an inline four and the engine bay is already designed for a V engine.
I see that the brake servo seems to have done a runner as well.
For comparison, this is a 3.0 Essex from the factory.
