Someone linked me this earlier, it’s incredible how this guy just surfs the SUV by holding onto that rear crossmember.

The best part of this is when he grabs onto the car that’s rolling over.

What bugs me is that the Camaro doesn’t appear to try to full-brake at all. Also, the minivan to the left of the SUV saw him coming and avoided getting railed, too.
What’s especially nuts is how this Camaro managed to turn this into a four-vehicle accident with one impact.

The Lexus (?) also comes to a full stop predicting the accident. Driver awareness on point.
And the Camaro does try to full brake - however I think this guy’s doing well over the speed limit. You can hear the tires screech off to the left and the Camaro’s nose sink to the ground as it comes into the frame.

I’m hard of hearing. I had difficulty picking out the tire squeal, but now I hear it. Good god, that’s got to be hair-raising.

Camaro driver wasn’t paying attention, or thought he could make it through a “freshly” red light? Place your bets now!

I’ve thankfully never been close to a scenario like this while on my bike(s). It’s more than a bit frightening.

I’m pretty confident he sped up to run the yellow, it turned red, kept accelerating to beat the change, and that happened.
One thing I’ve learned - unless you’re essentially on top of the intersection, don’t blast through the yellow.
Another thing I’ve learned - wait a whole second before entering the intersection, then ease out into it. If anyone’s going to scream through the stoplight, they’re more than likely going to pass through without hitting me.

Aye, when I’m coming up on an intersection that’s turned yellow, my first snap-judgement is to determine whether my car can stop in that distance. Usually, it can. But when I’m less than a hundred feet away, I usually just go through it.

this is why- even though my bikes have been in the garage since November- I’m not really all that eager to get back on them.

There’s nothing quite like that, “I’m dead, oh shit I’m still alive, fuck yeah!” feeling.
