This is my first pass. 45 seconds of effort here.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I must have cancer now from the breeze blowing some of the spray onto my arm. It’s been nice knowing you all.

Damn... Spray on rinse off and that’s the result? If so, I think I’ll buy some. How are the brakes holding up?

I wiped it around a bit with a mitt but we’re talking nearly zero effort here.

The brakes are perfect. The light still flickers but it’s related to the pedal. If the light’s on and I very lightly tap the pedal it goes out.

Sadly the engine is really starting to show it’s age. Oil pressure and temps are all over the place when it’s pushed 100%. I just finished taking the numbers and sponsor decals off. It’ll make for another post later but she’s done with track duty. It’s time to build the next track car. This time it’ll be a build for a class that runs frequently nearby.

Those wheels are so simple I probably wouldn’t even bother with a spray and rinse type cleaner. I’m more interested for this and this .

What are your plans for its retirement? What will be its successor?

Whoa the Oral B toothbrush! That’s some dedication to results!

Retirement: it’s got tens of thousands of reasonably aggressive driving left in it. I’m no Matador. I’ve no interest in killing the car off for sport. It can be enjoyed by someone who might want a drift missile or an autocross monster. I put the passenger seat back in and without all the decals and with the roof up (hiding the rollbar and stripped carpet) it actually looks quite nice. I’ll be honest about the engine but the rollbar, rotors, racing pads all around, new master cylinder, braided hoses, fresh break fluid and oil (less than a couple hundred on each) and Bridgestone RE-71R tires.... I’ll sell it for $3k is my guess. Offers welcome!

A Z4 coupe would do. As would a BMW 330ci.

Or a ... Z06.

If I was within a reasonable driving distance I would definitely take a look for $3k.

Z06!
