After doing my computating of the data for the past few months....
I am averaging a little over 38 mpg. Not too bad for an engine with almost 250,000 miles (Yay 90's Hondas). Who here has the best/worst mileage in their daily?

I have seen as high as 36 and as low as 15.2 from my Mini.

My daily makes 20mpg on average, maybe about 22 if I highway mile the whole thing. Way too much fun to hit the go pedal to attempt any sort of hypermiling though. I will get about 17-18 with lots of spirited driving. That turbocharged Awd 4 cylinder life.
My Miata will easily score 30 mpg, although generally I get closer to 25 with the way I like to drive it. Both are on premium so I’m always feeling the hurt if I drive a lot lol.

That’s a good range.
I always get a smile of satisfaction when a highway on-ramp causes the low fuel light to turn on.

I get about 25mpg in mixed driving. Not too bad for a 12 year old Focus.

People used to ask me what my WRX got for economy. I always answered 2 or 22, depending on how you drive it. I push my Civic pretty hard, 100hp and all, and still managed that number. Weighing under 2300lbs doesn’t hurt either. It’s a liberating experience to be able to floor your car all the time, as you can probably attest to with the Miata.

Turns out you don’t get very good mileage when Ice Racing. I could probably get down to single digits if I avoided street driving.

I get about 27 on the highway when I’m trying. Normal driving is more like 23 in the summer, 21 in the winter. And running an open practice course at Team O’Neil I got 5.

High score of 18.2 in the Camaro. Average so far has been 14.8.

I run 22-24 usually but in the summer when I was taking the twisty, hilly, road to work every day at high speeds I was getting averages of 19. If I get a perfectly empty road to hypermile in the summer with the roads clear I can get a mixed town and country mileage of 30.5 over a 64 mile round trip. However seeking that out of a 3.3 Toyota v6 is very, very hard.

I’ve gotten as high as 38-39 MPG from the Miata during long drives on clear roads and as low as 10 MPG on track.

I’ve spent the last two months on my 60-mile commute bringing up the average on my GX from 14.9 (when my mom drove it) to 15.9 (with me driving it.)
I’m sure they had no idea how much I would use when I negotiated gas into my job offer. HAHAHHA.
But between my car, my dad’s LS and my mom’s Sienna, our family fleet averages at like 16-17 environmentally-loving miles per gallon.

I enjoy that the STi still isn’t overpowered though. I feel like 300hp is that sweet spot where you can have plenty of legal fun. But yeah the Miata does bring some stupid smiles out of me just revving it to death. And it’s nice that ~23 is the absolute worst I can get in the Miata and that takes some fucking work. I bet the subaru would surely be single digits under those conditions lol.

There are a lot of days where I’m well under 14, if not under 13. On premium. Someone with an old truck might get worse, but....it’s not good.

That’s more in line with my Chevy Express with the 6L and my Valiant. You would think that the Valiant would get a little better it’s a single barrel slant six with like a 2.26:1 rear end, but no. If you cruise 55 on a flat road, you might get 15. It’s hard to get any mileage in the van. The combination of V8 and rusted out mufflers in a cargo a van is pretty intoxicating, if you know what I mean. I also want a big block Suburban, which get about 8 no matter how you drive it, to do some overlanding here in Oregon.

And I’m in Southern California too. BWAHAH $75 a tank. 4 tanks a week. They could’ve picked between this and leasing me a Prius.

I took a stock STi to the track on a fairly warm day, so boost wasn’t as strong as it could have been. I saw 6 mpg. Pretty sure you could get it to 4 mpg if you’ve got the right day.

With crappy enough tires, anything will squeal tires lol. My Miata is an NB2 so it has a little bit more power at least so its relatively easy on most tires. Any autocross start will chirp my tires and that’s without really launching it hard. But street driving with 200TW summers, it usually doesnt break traction ever.

Lol at 4 mpg wouldn’t you run out of gas before the end of the day? That will maybe get you like 50-60 miles before you are out of gas.
