So thats nice. Unfortunately from what I’ve seen the most common thing to get “upgraded” to is a minivan. So we’ll see how that goes.
And for this post, amazingly, I’m not procrastinating on spreadsheets. I’m actually waiting on someone else to give me a spreadsheet to inevitably procrastinate on.

My rental was upgraded a couple of weeks ago.
Old one on the right, new one on the left. It had only 1,500 miles on the odometer when I picked it up, so it really is new!
It’s clear to me that a Challenger beats a Camry as long as you don’t need room for four .

I actually got a Taurus with 10 miles on it last week. Not sure I’ll beat that any time soon.
I’d still say you won comparatively.

I’ve driven a Taurus. I kind of like them.

I think you’re right. My son managed to squeeze back there this past weekend. He didn’t look comfortable, but he fit. It’s definitely better than the back seat of a BRZ.

I had a rental company try to “Upgrade” me to a Nissan Sentra. I thought it was an insult or a cruel joke but they were serious. I told them I wanted a discount if that was going to be my option versus the Hyundai Accent they started me with. Not that Accents are amazing, but no way in hell is a Senta an upgrade.

Ah. I personally love Sixt, because they have the best fleet, but your rationale makes sense.

I don’t even think about the car I reserve any more - it’s never there when I show up. They always have something “similar”, so as long as it’s in the same size or larger for the same money, I’m ok with that.
