The center of the automotive universe shifted this weekend to Sonoma Raceway, where we had, concurrently, Radwood 3, LeMons and Billetwood. It was a glorious weekend for the many Jalops. I participated in Radwood, with my new cool ride. You will likely guess which one is mine.
My own awards go to:
- Cool 4WS 1989 Prelude that just kept overshadowing my car (but it was very cool)
-Ferrari Testarossa for being as ostentatious as you imagined it from your 80's posters, yet you still killed for one
- Mitsubishi Spyder 3000GT VR4 - The quiet star of the show, that required to do the mechanical roof striptease sequence to wonder the audience.
- Teslonda - Like Turducken, is a Tesla stuffed in a 2nd Gen Honda civic. Is bonkers.
- The predictable award to the Delorean - The 88th amendment of the constitution said a Delorean has to be in every show
- The awards were fair - Nissan Pulsar NX Sportbak and Weirdo Citroen XM won the awards for best european and best asian entries.
- The number of BMWs were overwhelming.
- There were other great ones, like the Dodge Daytona Shelby
My stupid cellphone battery died so no Billetproof pics. I know, I suck.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

That E30 325xi is great I want one so bad. Also it seems like all of them are red.
That Pulsar is coooler.

Personally, I prefer the Volvo 242GT on the other side of it, but I’m slightly biased, since it’s my work-in-progress...

I have a moral objection to safari racks on non-safari vehicles.

Agreed. This is why my Volvo lacks such.

Totally would’ve gone if I still lived in the bay area. The DWA guys seem like really cool folks.
I just hope these events don’t start losing their way (ahem, BAT). With Hooptiecon I would’ve expected/loved to see more neon Neons and yellow CRXs than Ferraris and BMWs as far as the eye can see.

I only took pics of Radwood cars (1980-1999) but didnt have any battery left for Lemons Concourse, Billetproof vehicles that were the ones you are looking for.

Safari racks and sticker bombings make me ornery but I dig the wheels, ride height, body kit, louvers and even the swedish flag roof.

I was supposed to be there, but something came up at the last minute. Bummer, looks like I missed a fun time!
