Nice price but a $1600 prelude is 100% stolen, right? Paging Honda folk to the front desk!

It looks like they dipped the entire car into a vat of armorall. NP. 5.5 s.

The S stands for Slow, but the 92-93 S is the lightest 4th gen outside the JDM ones. It has a 5-speed, which is good, and that SOHC F22 is nearly indestructible, but that interior needs lots of love. Still, solid NP.

Nah, that’s just the going rates for those now. The styling, especially the rear end, has been a source of controversy in the community for a long time. I’ve owned two, one with that engine/transmission combo.

Reaaaaaally. That I did not know.
Unrelated, but eg or ek hatch? I still dream of finding a stock one someday, and either dailying it once the Miata is too crazy or stripping building it...

Oh, tough call. I like them both. I personally see more unmolested EKs out in the wild (plus you could make a Type R clone if you felt like it), but I think EGs are a little lighter and got that awesome peak 90s teal as a color choice.

I do too, but a lot of people hate it. I sold mine when I got the TSX.

Yeah, but as a first time driver who’s driven slow cars his whole life, the F22 should be fine especially since I need to hone my stick driving skills, and once I get more money and experience I’d do an engine swap or something.

Yeah, it’s actually what I honed stick on. It’s a very easy clutch, and the shifter is great as long as you don’t have the common 3rd gear grind. Plus the gears are very long so you’re only turning 2500-3000 RPMs at freeway speeds.

When it comes to looks, I really don’t give a shit what others think, but it’s a different thing when it comes to performance or actual driving properties lol

Oh, and should you choose, an H22 is a direct drop-in, just requires a few minor changes.

I had the same engine in my Accord Ex, and I’ll second that it is more than adequate for someone who hasn’t been totally jaded by powerful cars.

What are the max power figures it can hold?

It takes serious internal modifications for it to reliably hold more than 300 or so with boost, due to the FRM sleeves. To get those numbers you’d be better off rebuilding/boosting the F22.

EG all the way, and I own an EK coupe. The hatch on the EK hatch looks weird to me, like the roof isn’t quite long enough or something. I want an EG hatch with a K24 as my commuter. It would be just enough power and still be reliable and economical.

Hasport makes mounts for the K24, but not the K20 unless you use a Euro-R K20, which has a K24 block with the shorter crank.

I think then the safe thing would be to get a K24 and mod it.

It would, but with a car nearing 30 years old the safe thing would be to take care of any issues that the car has. Just because it’s a Honda doesn’t mean it’s going to be problem free. The Prelude Curse is real. Believe me.

My 5th gen has had 5 breakdowns in the past year. All little $100-200 things that happen one by one.

Damn. Either I’d want to get this, or a Del Sol. Go on YouTube and look up ChrisFix, he’s Jalop worthy and what he does works.
