Give me ideas of what I should play on a mountain top. Oh, and if you missed it - I’ll be driving to the top of a mountain with a half stack and guitar to let loose a demonic wail upon the cowering populace below. And maybe Free Bird.
I tuned down to A standard and the strings are so slinky. It’s fantastic. Well, other than the whole staying in tune thing. Ah well... Can’t win ‘em all.

unrelated, but as a fellow Washingtonian, we must speak. I need your help locating a decent place to practice and push the limits of my car so I can improve my driving skills.

I’m tuned down to C (and some dropped to A#). I use Ernie Ball Cobalt 12s. Strings stay tight enough, and the cobalts REALLY shine with low tunings and come through very clear.
Never was an EB fan until these.
Also, from a mountain top you should be playing something low and grungy, like Baroness.
