I kept going back and forth between a 96 or a Dauphine and a Dauphine or a Caravelle, so I finally wrote an actual list out a couple of months ago and I am specifically saving for a Saab 96.

Vipers are relatively affordable, but depends on condition and model. You can get a drivable car for under $30k

I thought we might.
If I kept expanding the list I know a Wartburg and FSO Syrena would end up on it relatively soon. The 3 cylinder 2 stroke is one of my favorite engine configurations, and I would have a collection of 2 stroke cars if I could.

Wow I did not know they dropped below $30k. I know early 2000s Panoz Esperantes are around $35k and so are A310s. The A310 would realistically be #2 on the expensive list, but I am really hoping to get 1 some day, so I put it on my regular list. The Viper is just low enough on the overall list that I moved it to the expensive list.

My list would be a who’s who of cool Japanese cars from the 80s/90s.
But the sad thing is this: those cars are cheap as right now. I don’t think it will last, but right now I’m in no position to buy a fleet of cars.
One day maybe. By then the prices will have gone way up (I assume).
