im not going to lie, most of the Wrangler concepts are a huge yawn to me. I mean, how many ways can you say “yeah, you can make a willd wrangler if you have money.”
The other concepts (the wagoneer, the dakar, the Cherokee on 33's) THOSE are the ones that excite. I even like this
This is a turbocharger away from being a very cool little tool.

I only like the j wagon wrangler and the Remegade concept out of all of them. I’d still probably buy a 4Runner though. The renegade is too small and I don’t want a convertible and trust the Toyota reliablility much more than FCAs. That said the 4Runner is in desperate need of a refresh.

Considering that the Renegade has a six speed manual(!) this would actually be incredibly fun.

Don’t need a trailhawk if you’re going to be voiding the warranty straight away. Just grab a base model (possibly CPO? not sure if some people’s leases have run out yet for these) and save the cash.

You also don’t get the low range ratio. UPDATE: looking into it they both get the same final drive and the overall crawl ratio (taking away the torque converters ratio) is pretty close 18:1 vs 20:1. Given the power difference low down in the rev range and the ability to slip the clutch a little...yeah I wonder if the 1.4T/6 speed wouldn’t be the way to go here.

The problem (for me) with most of the Wrangler concepts is that they look like a Hot Wheels fantasy version of a Wrangler. I guess that appeals to some, as they keep rolling them out every year.
