The 1964+ C2 Corvette coupe looks better than the oh-so-revered 1963 split window.

Especially from the inside!

But my rarity!!!

This is true.
The perfect C2 would probably by a 1965 with the L84 FI 327.

i thought the split window bit was just about rarity and... useless coolness (?) rather than appearance.

the split window is cool, but it’s not as good a car as the later C2s - I’ll take a 66 or 67 327 4spd disk brake car.

Lol “rear halo”

That’s called a “G-String“

gotta disagree with ya, but the important thing, was that 1963 had the better set of options for engines.........

C3s look better than C2s anyway.

Only the early ones

I feel like the classic car scene is a little too obsessed with windows in general.

Are you referring to how every additional window you put onto a base VW Bus adds $30k to the sale price?

Hot take: all corvettes other than C6 are ugly, just some worse than others.
![]() 03/17/2018 at 17:49 |

Volkswagen in general, mostly. The shapes of windows in Type 1s can do similar things to pricing.

convertible is best looking.

“Back in the day” a bunch of ‘63's got turned into 64's. The strip blocking you mirror wasn’t always so revered.

That goes without saying

Oooh, oooh, can I play?
“All C2’s are yucky”

Apostrophe misuse is yucky.

Almost all writing and journalism stylebooks say to use an apostrophe for pluralization of abbreviations, and I would argue that “C2" counts as an abbreviation, or at least should be subject to the same rule for the same reasons.

I like bits and pieces... If I had my way I would combine the 3 louvered side vents and the B pillar vents of the 65, the hood of the 67 big block cars, the split window of 63, side pipes, and the alloy wheels of the 64 you pictured above.
