Yes?

Though much of it is negated by the MPower sticker...

And the jury is still out as far as turn signals are concerned.

Depends on the rest of the parking situation. Considering how the other adjacent cars are parked... I’ll allow it.

I’m still on the fence. I need to see the rest of the parking lot. What if he took the last two space for his precious automobile? Or what if he could’ve simply parked farther away in a corner spot (so he can hug the corner to prevent door dings on the side he shares, that’s what I do).

At the end of the day, I guess it’s better than parking like a dick and only paying for one spot.

You make a good point! They parked like dicks. The one on the right may not be able to help it, the left on looks like a pretty standard car though.

Yes. If it’s a full lot it’s still a very BMW-driver thing to do, but being a paid lot and no express lot rule against it it’s fair game.

Assuming no other factors (like if they took the last two spaces), I’m okay with this. Want two spaces? Pay for two spaces!

That’s up to the lot operators to address. If they don’t have any rule saying you can have only one spot, and it’s pay parking, buy as many spots as you want. Fair game.

My wife worked in parking for 2 years while going to school. It’s more common than you’d think.

No harm, no foul

- has “MPOwer” sticker on windshield

- Does *not* have an M Car.

Guilty of whatever the driver is accused of.

well that’s a completely separate violation. The person who did this may not be okay, but parking in two spots with two tickets, is that okay?

I’m gonna go a different route on this one.

If it was a M3, yeah sure fine I guess. It’s not, though, and having the huge ass sticker doesn’t help the cause. At the end of the day it’s their money, but your car isn’t that special, pretend M owner. I guess since I wouldn’t do that, it just doesn’t sit well with me, but that’s just my opinion.

The problem is that it’s one less person who can park. If this were in Seattle, it would still be foul, from a “do you give a shit about other people?” stance.

To be honest, I’d do it in some cases. Some of the parking lots out in the burbs are like $2/h. For $4 I can leave my car all day in 2 stalls? Sold.

If the spot was paid for then I have no issues with someone doing something like this. Its a completely different story if someone does this in a regular public parking lot.

There is nothing to indicate that the BMW parked before or after those two. It could be that the BMW’s neighbors decided not to overly care about the lines since the BMW had plenty of space. I don’t know if it overly matters either way since everyone involved seems ok with it.

I’m torn, because it doesn’t sit well with me because of the air of douchieness surrounding this. But on the facts alone he did it as right as you can do parking in two spaces.

I might be OK with this, but it really depends on where in the lot they are and how packed the lot is. If this is a really packed lot, dick move. If this is right outside the front door in a primo spot, dick move. If this is a lot that has a decent(ish) number of open spots, and its not right outside the front door, I’d be OK with it.

Now the ///M power banner on the windshield? Dick move. Unless he’s swapped the engine for one of the M engines, then I’m OK with it. Although I prefer the more tongue in cheek hacking together some badges to make one for the car, like a 332i on the back of a non-M e46 with an S54 in it.
