$8500 seems insanely dear, but you’ll be the only one.

We also got these in 3 door form in NA, probably even rarer. This car is mildly noteworthy to me, as the trunkback derivative Regata was Clark Griswold’s car in Italy in European Vacation.

The US got a number of Fiat models durint the era. When I was a kid, there was one of these in town, identical to this pic - west coast living:

Even in 1989 I knew it was an extreme rarity.

It’s in decent shape for what it is but that is ridiculously CP.

They were also the cars pictured being built in the “Assan Motors” assembly plant in Gung Ho , while the completed vehicles used in the scenes shot in Pennsylvania were mostly Omnis/Horizons.

Italy, 2015 or 2016. It was the newer Ritmo, like this:

Oooh, a Mirafiori! There was a time when all the taxis near me were diesel Mirafioris.

I thought the Ritmo was odd looking enough as it was until I saw what the American market required of it....

Ah, I forgot about that one, underrated classic. I think I read those were even South American variants, but lots of Regatas and others in that, haven’t seen it in ages. I still remember a car trying to drive away and a wheel falling off.

I suspect that was a sooty time.

Yeah, all the assembly line scenes were filmed at the Fiat plant in Argentina, the producers wanted cars that would appear foreign and unfamiliar to American viewers. Which tells you how badly Fiat performed here in the ‘70s and ‘80s.

Hand built by robots. More specifically Italian robots, angry at management and considering industrial action.

It’s been a long time. Right before I moved to Denver from Colorado Springs back in the 90s, I remember seeing a blue one being used as a pizza delivery vehicle. I can’t imagine that job lasted long if they depended on that Strada to do it.

There did always seem to be an inordinate number of Fiats around Colorado up until about 2000. Daihatsus too.

It’s insanely bad timing that Fiat, Peugeot, and Renault had fairly wide product lines here during peak malaise.
