So, it’s just like Lexus with the IS a few years ago (you could get the IS250 with a 6MT, but not the IS350), or the Lincoln LS before that (you could only get the manual with the V6, not the V8). I get that it’s a way to strip down a little bit of cost to make the cars slightly more accessible price-wise, but it’s still frustrating.

It’s not clear to me why you’d offer the manual in the ‘upscale’ luxury version instead of the ‘sporty’ version, but whatever.

And yeah, I want the manual with the top engine not the bottom. :/

I can’t wait for the manual transmission to be the “premium” option. Charge me extra for it. But make it a better experience. Bundle it with the sport suspension and high performance tires and lighter wheels. Let me get it with the big engine. Spend the extra time to do it right and charge me for it. I’m cool with that.

Fair enough. But I would imagine the vast majority of the small group that WOULD purchase a manual for this.... Would much prefer the 6 cylinder.

This only works if there are enough that will buy it, and that definitely seems more and more unlikely going forward. (911 R is the exception)
