And 8 months. That’s how long it took for my oil life to go down from 100% to the first maintenance minder reminder (15%) in the TSX. Just need to find out if there’s anything else that needs to be done around 120k.

7,000mi oil change interval?

Seems that way.

Is that too much? I know people that change their oil twice a year...

I wonder how much life a bypass filter setup would add.

A lot of newer cars (such as mine) have oil change interval of 12-15k miles when they use synthetic oil.

Do highway/fity usage affect this?

Yeah, I could see it being a bit longer with full synthetic. The owner’s manual calls for for 5w20 synthetic blend, so I assume that’s what Carmax put in it. It’s what I’ve topped it off with over the months.

Good question. If I don’t end up buying a RWD Toyota/Lexus, the TSX will be become my weekend/project car. I won’t find out for a few years, at least. Leaving it alone until I pay the loan off.

Adding an accusump startup oiler and Amsoil bypass filter setup on my wrx in the near future.

I like those gauges.

Yeah, they’re pretty cool. They look good when backlit, too.
