You! yes you over there who buys only gently used, well-depreciated cars with low miles and clean history. Do you want to know what owners of 640000 vehicles had problems with in the last 8 years? I am sharing ratings for some popular Jalop cars to start with. Ask away!

Oh yeah, I generally take CR predicted reliability and JD power Initial quality with a BIG grain of salt but CR’s used car surveys, especially 3-4 year ones are bang on. Before I bought my car I compared the results with common problems reported in forums and it was really really close.

The only thing I really disagree with them on here is the paint/trim. I’m not sure what that’s about as mine and every other 2nd gen TSX I’ve ever seen have had fantastic paint and trim quality. I know the Civic and Accord had paint issues around that time, but they were from a different factory.

2014 C300 4matic is very good. MB increased the power and torque from 2013 onwards and the 302HP C350 is even better, if they are OK with the older tech and interior. You can find them for low to mid $20s under 40,000 miles.

I have considered all of those lol. CX-3s are expensive and auto only and by far the most cramped, crosstrek is also too expensive I’d want the new gen with the 6 speed, elantra gt I like but also a little pricey and no sunroof with a manual, soul turbo I don’t love the styling as much anymore and the same pricey/no stick as the others. But they’re all good choices and have been the front runner at one point or another.
Not surprised the HRV did well that’s the point the jeep is what I’m worried about, don’t think icould buy FCA.

Also, VW GTI? I’m trying to convince my wife to get a GTI for a commuter car.
