Kinja'd!!!

I just drove from northern Iceland to Barcelona in Euro Truck.

Kinja'd!!!

Many snow

Kinja'd!!!

Scotland!

Kinja'd!!!

A dark forest road in the middle of Scotland

Kinja'd!!!

Rest stop somewhere in northern England

Kinja'd!!!

Tollbooths at the English side of the Channel Tunnel

Kinja'd!!!

France!

Kinja'd!!!

The big bridge thing in the south of France from that Top Gear episode

Kinja'd!!!

Stopping for fuel just on the Spanish side of the France-Spain border

Kinja'd!!!

Barcelona!

Kinja'd!!!

And finally at our destination.

All in all about 3,500 virtual kilometres hauling virtual rye across virtual Europe. I genuinely think ETS2 is one of the best games ever made. It’s really relaxing just sitting back, putting on some music or a good podcast, and just cruising. Especially if you’ve got something like a G27/29/920 or a good Thrustmaster wheel like the TMX that I use. It’s still pretty great with the keyboard or an Xbox gamepad though.

If you’ve got ETS2, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is an excellent map mod ProMods is how I was able to get to Iceland and Spain, it also adds Finland, the Baltics, a few Balkan countries, Romania, and a shitload more including new towns and cities in already included countries. Highly recommend it, although it can be a bit of a pain to install for the first time.

What is this? Some over the road trucker simulator game?

Did it run in real time? How long did that trip take? Did you park and sleep in a real time increment?

I have so many questions

The Millau Viaduct is the bridge you’re speaking of. Series 7 episode 3. Good one to watch.

I think ETS2 works on about a 1/10 scale of real time or thereabouts. So an hour would take about 10 real life minutes.

I play ATS, mostly because I cant stand the narrow roads with the truck in ETS2. Unfortunately, ATS isnt really being updated as good as ETS2 is....

ATS is fun, but you haven’t got the variety of ETS. The Southwest is great, but it gets boring after a while. I honestly can’t wait for Oregon though.

The way the updates have been rolling out for ATS, itll be somewhere in 2020 before we get anything new. I was really hoping for the special convoy update that ETS2 got, to be shared with ATS, no such luck tho..:(

Wouldn’t 1/10 of an hour be 6 minutes?

Coming here for this. I didn’t realize it was in TG, I just love the bridge.

I like that you drive a very Canadian truck in Euro Truck.

I make these runs regularly on the multiplayergamers twitch channel. I’ve been playing the SCS trucking games ever since “18 Wheels of Steel” and “Scania Truck Driving Simulator.” I absolutely love them. They’re my Zen after a long week. Long runs more than 2000km especially. I never get tired of the scenery. Add ProMods to ETS2 and you have even more gorgeous landscapes to enjoy as the kilometers drift into your side rear mirrors. Love it.

18 WoS definitely brings back memories. It’s kinda crazy how far SCS has come in such a short amount of time.

Amoore100 introduced me to the Promods and Rusmap expansions.

They’re fantastic, especially when paired with Jazzycat’s traffic and trailer mods.

So, you reminded me, I need to play more ETS2 again.
