Because I can fit 3 cars in my 2 car garage with room to spare. We’re supposed to get more than a foot of snow in the next 24 hours.

It started life as a one car garage, but a previous owner built an extension on the back that’s wide enough for a Fiat, a Miata, and a workbench up top.

I mean three cars is good and all, but I feel like a certain oppo might be able to fit somewhere around eight Smarts in the same space.

Haha mine is the opposite. Was a 2-car but we took down the wall between it and the add-on workshop to make it 3.

I like Smart cars, but they push the limits of practicality a little too much for me. I love my Fiat because it’s very small but still manages to have a usable trunk and back seat (as long as the passengers are short like me. I’m a fat guy but I’m only 5'6" and I have sat back there for an hour).

I feel like I get most of the small car benefits of a Smart but with a little more usable space.

Looking at that I think if you move some of that stuff from the right, further back I think you could get a fourth in easily.

It’s possible, but it wouldn’t be easy. There are concrete steps and a chimney just out of view on the right, and the original garage (the portion in front of the center wall) isn’t quite deep enough. Also, the single car garage door limits where you can enter. But if I had another Fiat 500, sure.

My other car, a 2003 Honda Civic Sedan, will be weathering the storm outside. It’ll be fine.
