Is that so far, I’ve wound up enjoying my more difficult classes (econ, stats, math, etc) more than easier BS classes.
The easy classes just add so much bullshit to the class, while the harder ones are just like “80-90% of your grade is tests, the rest is homework and I couldn’t give a fuck if you come to class or not.” While all the easy classes have ridiculous attendance policies, 3 different websites you have to check for homework, and the homework is mostly just a waste of time that doesn’t help you at all.
Also, professors that make homework problems harder than test problems deserve a special place in heaven. Because they make the homework not a waste of time and the tests much less stressful.

Have you come to the realization that studying the classics gives you a deeper insight on human relationships and behavior, that this insight is immensely useful in even the most technical fields, and that the class is worthy of your attention (assuming the instructor isn’t terrible)?

I understand.
It’s just not a class required for my major. I like it, but it’s just an elective.
EDIT: We’re discussing the movie Troy right now. Half the class got up and left.

The classes I used to browse Oppo in were the classes I struggled in. I stopped bringing my laptop to class so I didn’t have that distraction.

Zeus at the moment for the class, but I prefer Roman mythology myself.

I’m browsing Oppo in this class because it’s literally high school level basic mythology.
We’re just going over the highlights of the Odyssey right now.

I found the professors that wrote their own questions for homework were the ones that I did better on the tests. For transport II (mass and energy transfer), I had a professor who made her own homework questions. Some students had the key, me and a fraternity brother did not. As a result we had to sit and actually do the homework. I easily got a B in that class, a quarter of the class failed.
Her tests were almost impossible. For half of the test you were allowed no aids, had to memorize mass transfer equations and dimensionless numbers. It was brutal.
She sent out that email after the second exam.

High school level class and Georgia Tech are not synonymous.

I very much doubt that it is a BS mythology class. If anything that would fall under a BA.

We’re looking at circuits in physics and I honestly can’t stay awake... it bores me to death.

I really wish this street went both ways. I didn’t really mind my “well rounded education” classes (Liberal arts, etc.) but it drove me up the wall that Liberal Art majors did not have to take much or any math/science. These classes promote critical thinking skills and problem solving that have real world benefits. Much like I use the insights and logic you develop in the LA classes. I always wondered why the STEM students were the only ones required to be well rounded ¯\_()_/¯

I enjoy the harder classes or the classes that make me think. I can’t stand the check the block classes. It just seems those classes are designed to reinforce good study habits and nothing else.
I am currently in an OSHA certification that is supposed to take 10 hours and has taken me 24 as I can’t tolerate their online training being so slow. I walk away alot, do dishes or something else and come back to it. My teacher is furious at me, but I’ve learned how to fire a rocket launcher in the army faster than this.

That’s because the people who create liberal arts curriculum are dumb.

Just think about how much of a failure you’ll be personally if you fail, that’s my motivation for boring hard classes.

Sounds like you got out of the Army before they got on board with the online training shit. I think I’d prefer to literally be captured by the Taliban than have to do the online SERE training again.
