After the jump.

Kinja'd!!!

PSYCH

It’s some more unnecessary car shopping with E90M3.

Kinja'd!!!

Today we find a high mileage E90 M3. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! has done 138,700 miles. That is not an insignificant amount of miles; it’s almost 20k/year.

Kinja'd!!!

It looks really clean despite the mileage and comes with the requisite transmission. I wonder if the clutch has been changed.

Kinja'd!!!

So anyone need a high mileage E90 M3?

On the bright side, at that milage you know it has been maintained well enough to keep going and therefore has a bunch of parts already replaced. Only question is if those replacement parts are due for replacement.

If you are wracking up 20K per year, you are probably doing some highway miles. Clutch should be good to go.

Too Late! I started commenting already and we are discussing politics. Here’s a Splinter video no less about Trump’s “Stable Genius” idea for arming teachers. https://splinternews.com/video/3484235?utm_medium=sharefromsite&utm_source=Splinter

Let’s have a sane discussion please.

Yes. My wife needs that as a commuter car. She doesn’t care about the mileage, she does 500mi/week anyway - her ‘07 is over 205k and on the original clutch anyway. In my (limited) experience, high mileage at a relatively low age probably means highway mileage, which isn’t a lot of shifting. Hell, we sold my wife’s 2005 S40 in 2012 with 140k on the original clutch, brakes, and just about everything but a timing belt. Now that I think about it, I’ve never changed a clutch on any car I’ve owned, and I’ve had a few over 200k; my current car is at 166. I’ve also never owned an M3.

Stock up on BMW parts now before the tariffs take effect.

Somehow this is what I expected when I saw the headline...

Like the color combo, that’s more miles than I’d like

I think Davesaddiction is still on his original clutch at around 110k. I would actually feel really comfortable buying this.

It would depend on what they replaced, but I would assume it’s been well maintained. I have this weird desire to have two of these, one as my DD and one as the weekend car. It would be foolish to have 2 E90M3s, but a 6MT E90 M3 and a DCT E92 M3 would at least be more sensible.
