You have a Santana, right? I’m not sure how similar the cooling system is to the Land Rover’s, but if it’s anything even near being far too large, then yes you should!

It’s exactly the same system except for a larger air filter. I need to replace the generator with an alternator, because it doesn’t produce enough electricity to run the heater. My santana is very similar to a regular series, and everything can be turned to LR parts if needed. I was thinking getting a piece of plexiglass to put over the grill so it keeps the aesthetic.

Sounds like a good plan. You can get Series IIa specific muffs from Exmoor trim and some Ex-MOD places over here, but I’m not sure how available they will be in the US. I’m sure if you ask TheBloody or RamblinRover they’ll have one lying around on a workshop floor somewhere though.

Pulled two sets of pensioners up a hill on Tuesday (in their cars) and two nurses to Cramlington hospital yesterday morning. I just happened to be passing the stuck pensioners on my way to a client, and my dear mother volunteered me for the NHS run

I looked at those, but they look really ugly when on the truck. Next year I’ll try and fashion something out of Plexiglass. There’s no need for it to open because it doesn’t go very far and runs very cool.
