I didn’t know that there were any Takata-equipped cars left that hadn’t been recalled yet.

The Oz arms of various companies have been slow and most of the recalls were voluntary until now. Now the Government has stepped in and declared a mandatory recall so every affected vehicle must be fixed for free by the manufacturer by mid 2020...and suddenly the list of impacted vehicles got huge.
All those Holdens that Pip mentioned are now worth even less than they were before. In fact, they’re are nigh on untradeable.
Still trying to figure out if the Patrol ute we have is impacted. Not sure if it has an airbag at this point.

Very strange how long it took for this to happen. Everyone I know is talking about it, but it was news in the car world years ago.
