So you know how hardcore sneaker heads have legit checks for Adidas Yeezys and Nike Jordans to make sure they aren’t fake?

I have a high suspicion that this “1943 GPW” is in fact a modified ‘50 Cj3-A

David Tracy, et. Al; whaddya think? Can I get a legit check on this?

I mean, it looks like a GPW to me. CJ3A and CJ2A had the gas tank fill behind the driver opening, with the tank under the driver seat. The plate where the gas fill would be on a CJ looks correct, there’s no tailgate, the dash looks right, and the stamping in the rear of the tub (storage?) looks exactly like it should. At least the grille and tub look legit.
