Always wondered: can I design a miniaturized F2004 using this? Or basically make a rep of my choice of modern F1 car (or an amalgam) with a small single-seater and a Hayabusa V8?

Sure you could, you’d just need to re-design the engine mounts to fit around the V8. But it wouldn’t be a true replica since it uses a space frame, not a carbon fiber tub. And you wouldn’t be able to race it anywhere.
The old Pro Mazda car kinda looks like an early 2000's F1 car, and one guy painted it to look like a Ferrari:
