Two door cards, ready for re-installation! The second door card has some wrinkles from being the most worn of the two vinyl pieces but it’s good enough for me. Just gotta fabricate and install some door pulls and I’m all set!

The spare dash will be next to get a makeover.

That looks good! What do you plan on for the door pulls? Wood? Machined metal? Seatbelt weave straps?

Something similar to seatbelt weave straps. The final result should be ready tomorrow.

Hey, tomorrow’s now! Where’s the update?

Also, I just had an idea. Since the door card faces are made of vinyl, perhaps some heat from a hair dryer will shrink them up nice and tight.

I’m gonna need to sew them together because my adhesive plan was too messy to work, but here’s what I’m working with at the moment.

It’s very possible that applying some light heat could sort that issue out!

Nice. Sewing those by hand will be nigh on impossible. If you don’t have a sewing machine you could just rivet the ends together and heat them a bit to control fraying (assuming the material is synthetic).

I’ve got a sewing machine, but I might be able to rivet them or something similar. This stuff only costs $.95 per yard so I can experiment forever until I find something that works.
