This thing is old-school. Heavy as lead.
An unknown-vintage dual-axle 10x6 Linville horse trailer. It’s in decent condition and has a fully removable divider -which makes it a plausible enclosed utility trailer- and recent floor planks. It’s an older trailer, and is all steel, no aluminum here. Loaded with sheep it’s gonna just about max out the Tacoma’s towing capacity. I will also now have to install a trailer brake controller (ordered and on the way)...
Funny, I usually don’t think of the Tacoma as “small”, since I drive a FieSTa most days, but this trailer kinda dwarfs it... And it’s not even a very big trailer.
Is there a trailer VIN search online? Not that I (or the state) care that much, but it’d be nice to know the actual year of manufacture. Seller claimed the brakes work well, but all I can confirm is it pulls well, tracks nicely, has fair (and matching!) tires (including spare) and needs the left fender straightened and some paint. All-in-all not a bad deal for $1600, I think...

Every single time I see a horse trailer I imagine a turret popping out of the roof.

I knew one guy that hauled his dragbike in one. I thought it was genius. It has a low floor for easy load in. He also would roll his toolbox stack in there. Said it towed like a dream-and no one would ever think there’s a bike in there.
