If I ever get the chance to, I’m going to buy a Crown Vic LTD and restore it. Then I’m taking it to Radwood.
Edit: Bitch, you didn’t even give my Interceptor a fair chance, you know that? :P Aluminum paint, still with the original equipment, and 250 horses under the hood.

In general, I have to say the original boxy Panthers are my favorite across the board, with the later ‘98+ as second favorite*. I know the ‘90s generation have their fans, especially the 90-97 Town Car, but I just never warmed up to them.
*I know, the ‘98-’12 Crown Vic actually used the 1992 Grand Marquis body shell, but, still, its basically a new generation.

My dad had a ‘87 two door. I loved driving that thing around in high school. Yikes, I’m old.

That was best Crown Vic. Nostalgia colors my opinion though. My friend had C.V. Police Interceptor of that approximate year. When he went to Desert Storm, he left it with me and I loved driving it. It wasn’t as boaty as other big Fords I had driven, and it actually had pretty good acceleration thanks to the 351 that the civilian cars didn’t get. I was sorry when he took it back.
He also had a big ‘77 LTD Police package car I kept for him, but it was pretty long in the tooth by then and wasn’t nearly as fun. As Jim Rockford might have said in one episode of the ‘Rockford Files’, it handled like the Forestal.
