I have a scanner, and I just want to drive it to work and some weekend duty. I’m concerned with maintenance.

<—- has a 12 year old Chrysler. Nickel and dining every once in a while is still significantly cheaper than a regular car payment.
As long as it’s mechanically sound I could only foresee the occasional clogged sensor, maybe a switch not working - easily fixable stuff. Big ticket issues would have likely shown by now or will be evident when you test drive it.
