Funny thing with Dotard’s links to Russia - about 100 years ago, the nascent commies effectively vanished their equivalents of the Trump clan. Maybe they had the right idea.

In these semi-praetorian organizations, there’s little accountability or responsibility. The people in charge of that security will be able to retire at 55 with a publicly funded pension that would make our heads spin.

When someone as wholly unqualified as Jared gets a security clearance, you know this entire regime is a con - just like Dotard himself.

Quite smoothly played into some of the most basic character issues and fears of of millions. Someone else did this around 85 years ago.

It will take years if not a generation or more to clean up the mess. The Simpsons predicted the victory, and also a mess to be repaired once logic prevails.

Good luck to the zealots on that one. That’s another ideal that can put them on the wrong side of history - I suspect progressives (at least in the American sense) have more disposable income, or at least dispose of it in greater amounts. Supporting right wing dogwhistle groups might not be the best income generator.

I think we started moving towards oligocracy some time ago. Definitely in it now.

I’ve always looked at that as consenting adults, and aside from showing his sleaziness, also showed the prudish and hypocritical reality of the “family values” party. I can dislike Slick Willy too, but that’s a ways down on my list.

A 19-year-old one on one with the POTUS in a closet off the Oval Office is not a case of two consenting adults having a tryst, even if the 19-year-old is a legal majority in age. I won’t lecture you, but I think you are missing something here.

Honestly? I’m not being about victims here, either. I am indicting President Clinton for an abuse of power and taking advantage of a young woman who worked for him. Despicable conduct, IMHO. Is Ms. Lewinsky absolved of any responsibility for this? Absolutely not, but Clinton is the responsible party in this torrid affair and I expect more from people who represent me.

I can hold him to some kind higher responsibility, but I don’t think this is outside of his character, and I don’t know how much advantage he really took. It’s still the kind of thing I would expect from him. The incident doesn’t get me going, he had more serious failures.

Sadly, I don’t expect more from these people.
