What MINI would you buy (new, not used), & why?
I probably get a Clubman JCW ALL4. Lapisluxury Blue w/white roof & mirror caps, cloth sport seats, dynamic control dampers, fog lights. It has AWD for winter, barn doors, & plenty of space.

I’d either do a Clubman like that or a convertible. JCW either way.

Countryman S all4, is the only vehicle that comes close to making sense for me.

Just a standard Cooper S hatch. I’m not crazy about the cars looks anyway so i dont really care about colour. I would go for the JCW for the extra power but it makes the appearance even worse.

Countryman all4. Because this new version actually looks the capable part and surprisingly to me, has been actually quite capable! Like if toyota built a small 4runner (Not the rav) that retained the amazing.

None because theyre all portly now.

The smallest one with the biggest engine. They’re all too big but the hatch is at least still acceptable, relatively speaking.

Seconded

Is there one with barndoors?
The one with barndoors.

The standard Mini weights as more than a Sonic these days :/

The Countryman S All4, in Island Blue with the white roof. Tech package, and Premium package, and the Chesterfeild Brithish Oak Interior, Dynamic Damper Controls, and the Checker print rearveiw mirror. Also black headlight and tailight trim.
Of coarse IRL I’d never buy that because it’s a 40,000 dollar 200hp Compact crossover. I could do without the tech package but the wireless charging and HUD are both pretty awesome. And I’d get the Premium package mostly for the the sound system, but the power tailgate is pretty cool too.

Hmm.. $44,165
Hardtop 2-door JCW in their JCW Rebel Green (because it really should be BRG), with a white roof/mirrors and white bonnet stripes. Every package, cornering lights, dynamic damper control, and various bits/bobs. It defaults to a manual, but apparently has an auto option (weird).

I wouldn’t. Mine is a POS. Love the idea of the car but the way it is put together is horrible.

There is only one Mini!
:looks at website:
Huh... ok well much like the rest of us Mini and has apparently become old and fat.
I think I’d go for a tasteless JCW 2-door, manual of course. I think I managed to configure one without infotainment, but looking it over I think I just avoided the big infotainment...

A wagon, of course, specced to be as British as possible.

I’m going to cheat and buy a “new” Mini Remastered, the Singer-ised ur-Mini from David Brown Engineering.

I don’t know, I used to like the Clubman, but then they stretched it and added 2 full rear doors. I guess the Hardtop, but that’s getting big enough at this point that you might as well just go for a GTI or something.

JCW Cooper if they weren’t so damn expensive

My main problem with Minis is that compared to any other hot hatch they cost WAY too much for the performance you get. The S is supposed to be a GTI competitor (I think?) but has 30HP less for several grand more, and the JCW has power more in line with the GTI/Focus ST but again costs WAY more

Not every trim.
Countryman S E ALL4 can’t be had with a manual.

You can in Canada.

JCW in gunmetal grey

I will agree that the car is put together horribly

Still weighs less than a golf

The S E ALL4? Not the regular S ALL4, specifically the plug-in hybrid. That one is its own trim level, and can’t be had with a manual anywhere in the world, just a 6-speed slushbox.
Here it is on Mini’s Canadian site:
