I even have winters. It just hadn’t snowed until the last few days so I never switched to them. Plus I wanted to see if the all-seasons would be good enough.

Like I don’t even remember when there was that little snow on the ground. Maybe back in November.

At least you have snow. It turned to mist here after a couple hours, zero accumulation.

I too learned today that the Toyo Proxes on my fx45 are terrible in the snow, even with the center diff locked. I think today was the first time in my life that I ever re-enabled traction control after having turned it off, because unintentional dorifto through every turn on busy city streets is no bueno. Zero feedback on limit of adhesion.

I was totally going to buy snows but the unseasonably warm winter had me worried I’d burn through them before the first snowfall. Also, first winter with this vehicle, AWD, and being in the lower mainland had me wondering if i really needed them.

I will absolutely positively have a set ready for next year.

What kind of rubber have you got on there?

Dedicated snowset would make your donuts legendarily tasty

Cooper Zeon RS3-G1. Good in the dry, decent in the rain, and useless in the snow. I won’t be buying them again when they need replaced.

I have a set of winters, but didn’t put them on for the same reason. It seemed silly to put them on for this sudden snow, but I kinda wish I had. My winters aren’t even the best in the snow, they’re better in the rain, but they’re so much better than these all-seasons. These are also giving me no feedback about traction.

I have a set of pretty good snows, but our winter had been so temperate until the last week or two that I didn’t put them on

I have dirt cheap tires on my car that I can’t remember which, but boy is it fun when everything gets slippery and slidey.

The only letdown is that the 4EAT is “NO FUN ALLOWED” so you have to tell it what fun really is.
