2003 E39 M5 for $16k. 165k miles on the odometer, recent work on the right sort of items, stock OEM parts. Okay, the “small dent” is bigger than small, but still.
Get that sucker for like $14.5k? Maybe that dent magically pops out and/or you find a new fender?
I’m just saying.
Given the prices I’ve
seen
other E39's listed at (not sold) this seems like a fair price for
well-kept
car that already has cult status (and it’s only growing). Seeing some with similar mileage that

back on the east coast, but this one has reported accidents & service history at Midas (wtf, you have an e39 m5!).

There’s one listed locally here with 109k for $14k, Manual, but at some buy here/pay here type lot. There are a couple of E39 M5s, actually.

I wouldn’t take an M5 to Midas for much, but for basic warranted exhaust labor, I’d be okay with that. They have deep pockets and good insurance.

First is sketchy to me, second is a nice find tbh. I’d probably find myself limiting my search to ‘03, but that ain’t fair of me to say after the fact.

Bad personal experiences with them but definitely varies by shop, I’ll agree with that.

Way to much to pay for an old sedan with recirculating ball steering, only 400hp, and a insatiable need to eat your money.
The e39 is the only car I’ve seen that goes through bushings and suspension bits faster than a V1 CTS-V, but at least the V is cheaper to repair and maintain. Too bad the rear is glass.

Welp, people do actually pay this kind of money for them.
