I really wanted a Muffuletta, but I unfortunately do not live in New Orleans anymore so I went to Central Grocery’s website and you can have them mail you a couple for a whopping $109.

Where do you live? Off the top of my head, the chain called Jason’s Deli (runs from TX to the Carolinas, IIRC) serves a pretty good one. Not amazing, but good. Jason’s puts most sandwich chains to shame ... Jersey Mike’s, Jimmy John’s, Panera, etc.

I would have thought it would have been miles better than anything Mississippi has to offer, though the coast is sort of in a league of their own.

Virginia is pretty OK. The part of Virginia I live is in the Southwest corner and I miss every aspect of living in Mississippi.
I just don’t feel the connection to it I felt to the gulf coast though, I never did.
