Who has 2 thumbs, just got his tax return, and already spent a chunk of it on an Ebay long block?

I’ll be down 2 cylinders, but less likely to be left stranded on a roadside.

What did you have before the 302 or the 351?

I keep debating between the 300 and the 351 for my project truck. Why the I6 in your case?

I remember doing a tiny bit of research on the 4.9 and it was better than the 5.0 in almost every way. The 5.0 had a few more horsepower that was it.

There were a few that left the factory that way.

Yeah, pretty much. And you can match the 5.0 hp with some bolt-ons.

The used ones are a hell of a lot cheaper on eBay.

No, I looked at like 10 others before finding one of the only ones that wasn’t from the rust belt.

Just a humble 4.9, from a wrecker in the rust-free state of Florida Man.

Good of a reason as any. I’ve also noticed that they’re a whole lot easier to find with a manual.
