GT Silver with those gold wheels... I’m having a moment.

This is worthy of a taking out a mortgage, yes?

It is a dream of mine to own a manual GT3 (or GT4) one day, but I don’t know if I’ll ever be willing to part with six figures for a car. On the upside, these seem to depreciate so slowly that you probably could own and enjoy one for a couple years and sell it for not much less than you bought it for.

I don’t think I’ll ever drop six figures on any car. It seems almost silly to me, but if I had that kind of coin in the bank I probably wouldn’t say that. If anything, the fact that these depreciate so slowly, then appreciate within a generation or two means these will be unobtanium unless I win the lottery.
That said, I’d be content with even just an S-variant.

Yeah, a 911 or Cayman S is definitely in my future.
Clearly, if you’ve got multiple millions in net worth, dropping $100k on a car is no big thing (it’s all relative). But it does seem like diminishing returns at some point. You can get 2 or 3 really nice, gently used cars for that kind of money.

Give me 5-6 years and I’ll be DD’ing a 718 Cayman and have a home with a two car garage for it and my 931.
Indeed, everything is relative, I just wonder at what mileage or usage diminishing returns actually kicks in.
