I’m pretty interested in seeing one on the road at some point.
I think it looks a little better than a Golf Alltrack (for the record I actually like the Alltrack). The Tourx also has more power but it weighs like 4300 lbs. That’s 600 more than 2005 XC70 for some reference of bigly “oh it’s totally a crossover guys” wagons. Which makes sense, as new cars are saddled with features you never knew you needed until the manufacturer told you so.
On the flip side, it kicks the V90's butt in cargo capacity... so long as you don’t acknowledge how beautiful the V90 is, it’s a win. But the TourX ain’t too shabby.
Anyway, I went with red paint, and the AWD Essence trim with a bunch of extras.
Oh know you all know my zip code now
Don’t know how I feel about this color... I guess I’m forced to choose black.

Speaking of the Volvo I’m getting pretty excited for the new V60 which I think competes more directly with this Buick. It appears to have a lot more cargo space than the current V60. I actually checked out at a V60 at the Volvo dealer a few years ago and couldn’t get over how little cargo space there was. If the leaked images hold up the new one coming late his year should fix that. Looks pretty similar to the TourX here:
Just imagine the Cross Country with a little more ride height and cladding because that’s mostly what the US will get anyway.

I can’t get my wife to get a wagon and I’ll never buying a GM product again, but these do look really nice. Easily the best looking non-luxury wagon for the US market in a very long time.

Even with a base model, including some of the neat features such as the moonroof spikes the price to 37k right away.
I think if GM could bear to part with some of its profit margin, it might sell more TourXes.

The V60 is going to test my resolve when it’s released

Just specced a nice Vauxhall Insignia Country Tourer (the Country Tourer is diesel only here and only one spec, options can be had of course) and a Sports Tourer.
Prices are U.K. OTR (On The Road) prices before any discount has been haggled.

My body is so ready for the V60

You could swap the badges for, say, Opel badges and mess with every gearhead who lays eyes on it.

I’m tempted to go test drive one and compare it to the Outback.

I wonder if you can remove the cladding and wrap the body underneath it to match the rest of the car.

The standard interior colors need to be revised.
Mazda and Nissan and many other companies have this same problem.
It’s either Can’t-see-shit-damn-it Black.
Or Oh-there’s-a-stain-and-there’s-another Cream.

All I see is squished Uplander. And similar lifespan and depreciation.

You see an Uplander???? You must have been severely traumatized. Point the the place on the bear where the van touched you.

I like it. A lot.

I’d spend an extra 2500 for it if it just came with the better gauge cluster, HUD, and ventilated seats that are available in other markets.

Uh... No?

That’s nothing. I wanna pre-order the damn car.

Goddamn that does look really good. Yes, even the jacked one.

It’s nice but still not my thing. Just what I’d go for if I was to.
If I could accept automatic. I’d go for the 2.0 GSi Nav with VXR pack.

That’s a good luggage capacity at 560 litres.
Only 65 litres smaller than the Skoda Superb liftback.
and 100 litres smaller than the Skoda Superb estate.

I assume the Skoda is FWD, which allows for the lower deck?
![]() 02/20/2018 at 11:33 |

The Superb has the same luggage capacity for both FWD and 4x4.

It’s like an Opel Volvo XC. Looks nice.

I sat in one at the Chicago auto show. I quite liked it, other than no manual and out of my price range of course.

My brain. My brain has code 1174 and needs a reflash.
I meant it’s soul looks like an Uplander’s soul. Tinny and foul.
