“If everyone who had a gun just shot themselves, there wouldn’t be a problem.”
(this did not under the cut as expected! sorry. KIINJAAAAAA!/spacely sprocket voice)
I don’t care about preserving the exceptionally fragile feelings of sniveling gun owners, so I’m not deleting it. Considering all the hateful shit they let fly every day of the week, I’d think a sarcastic quip by a dead Beatle would’ve been ok. I’m making them review it.
As it turns out though, Harrison had some pretty cool cars.

good! hold your ground on the tweet.

It was apparently flagged by somebody for “promoting self harm”. Meanwhile, thousands of people on twitter are saying 17 dead school children is an acceptable price for society to pay for the privilege of giving every nutcase access to guns, and that’s apparently just ok.

So would you say they had their mind set on you?

Did Harrison write any songs about people who see themselves as badasses but cry when they see a tweet they don’t like so I can reply with a relevant lyric?

I was referencing this:

I know it’s a song.
I just didn’t know of another one I could reference.
(sorry for ruining the moment)

Reminds me of when NPR tweeted the Declaration and people freaked out cause they didn’t know what it was.

I want to say, ‘ye’, it’s America’, but while that seems appropriate, it’s also seems disrespectful.

Ye’, that made me laugh so hard.
Especially for a country that bangs on so much about the constitution and certain amendments, but then it also seemed appropriate in a country with so many religions and hate groups that pick out and interpret what they want from religious texts, why wouldn’t they do it with the constitution.

Much more popular than his other quote “If only I had a gun, Clapton would be crying Tears in Heaven right now.”

Americans: Hurt when you suggest that maybe it shouldn’t be easier to amass an array of military-grade firearms than say, getting a CDL.
Hurt when you bring up the fact that guns are a constitutional right, while healthcare is not.
Not hurt when nearly 40 kids get shot in preventable shootings less than 10 years apart.
Come on America, we need to get our heads on straight. There’s no reason we should be having more mass shootings and mass shooting victims today than in the several past decades.

deleted the comment? discourse at it’s finest.

It wasn’t worth dignifying such a disgustingly perverse and stupid remark with a response, frankly.

Stupid. Ah yes. My mistake. I’m stupid. Murdering children is clearly not the same thing as murdering children that aren’t wanted. Maybe if they waited for them to pop out first.
And again, I support abortion rights. Because I value freedom and reasonable doubt.
What’s that premature survival rating now? I’m just a sniveling gun owner defending my beliefs. Your the one who posted politics on a car forum.

Well if you didn’t want to come across as an irrational crybaby, you failed pretty hard.

Insulting your opponent is also the best way to settle an argument. It proves that you aren’t emotionally involved and are basing your beliefs on logic.

I would actually be interested in hearing your thoughts, if you had any.

Doubling down! Impressive.

Hey, if you don’t have anything to offer, that’s not my problem.
Cheers.

ahem. I offered an explanation. You called me names like a five year old, deleted my post, then called me more names. Hence, why continuing to argue with you is identical to arguing with a five year old.

You suggested school shootings and abortions are equivalent.
Seriously, just F off.

You cannot tell me that both don’t result in fatalities of children. Intentional or otherwise.
But no, abortion is on the liberal team. I am not killing something because dicks weren’t kept in pants. My actions don’t have consequences. The condom broke? kill it. How many die each year from gun violence? 38,000 “related deaths” with around 11k homicides. how many abortions? 652,000 reported. States do not require all to be reported. 320,000 some cases of rape, so for the sake of the argument we will discount those. Left with 330,000 parents who decided to end a life they helped create.
So who is the monster?
![]() 02/21/2018 at 00:58 |

Who is the monster? Nobody apparently, by your own statements and attempts at reasoning.
![]() 02/21/2018 at 01:16 |

Exactly. Because I am willing to sacrifice personal and public safety for civil liberty.

Also, you havent actually argued to the affect, only claimed that I am wrong. you have failed to logically differentiate between the lives of born and unborn children through specific criteria. Proving one of your core beliefs falls in the same category as gun ownership. Which would imply that you are just as cold and calloused as the people you despise. This violates the personal image you have of yourself, so your mind does backflips to prevent you from feeling like a bad person. Even though, as a human being, you are a bad person by default. The logical position for someone who values human life would be to be against both, but that violates party lines, and you have to be on some sort of team. The good team. Your team. All the bad people are on the other team.
