I may not be good at much, but I can assemble things well (and surprisingly quickly) when drunk. I did it by myself so that he could take a relaxing bath.

And if you were wondering, yes. Furniture is an appropriate gift for a tenth anniversary. Parts of it are aluminum. Probably.

There are elements of heterosexuality that need fixing. Giving my wife an office chair or nice appliance — and having it be well received — is definitely one of those things.

I dunno, I know plenty of straight couples who have given their SO practical gifts at a major anniversary and they were all well-received. A thoughtful gift is always the best bet.

I always enjoyed putting Lego structures together. And at my current job, one of my responsibilities is to reassemble trays of surgical instruments after a surgery (and after they’ve been cleaned). It really is calming.

Happy anniversary. Mine’s today too (ok, yesterday; but today US time. Or something). 17 years. Which is also furniture, apparently. Appropriate since we just bought a massive house.

We need a lot more furniture. The couch is in desperate need of replacement, and we’re due for a new mattress & box spring too.
